Yes, you are right. The wish to progress with surfing/skating/etc. sometimes feels like a constant moving goal haha. There's definitely this inner critic in me that compares and is not satisfied. I love your reflective questions! They make so much sense. And I keep reminding me of the place I started with all the stuff and how far I've come. And to be grateful for the experience, every time in the ocean, every sunset surf. This feeling is incredible and makes me happy no matter the waves and the progress in the end. 🧡

For me it's the same - connection. I'm traveling and I feel pretty lonely sometimes. Although I always meet new people and most of them are super interesting and nice, I miss those deep connections, you know?

And I'm craving to be bold and daring. I'm traveling to learn surfing and a lot of times I feel anxious and I'm thinking about not being good enough or progressing fast enough. Same for surfskating. I wish I could see it more as a way to be playful and have fun.
