Also: Just bought a second hand bike, and I’ve replaced the tires, put my lovely Brooks saddle on it and I’m currently in the process of pimping it by adding glittery decals, new handlebar tape + kitting it out with a baggage rack and basket. And cute reflective stickers. And a bell.

Repurposing and customising stuff is the best!

I unraveled an old knitted jumper that had some holes and a bad fit, and now I’m repurposing the (blue) yarn for a new one!

Great concept! Someone commented on the video and called it «glimmers». I really like that word, and the feeling it gives me.

My glimmer of the day:

I ran into the (looong) queue to the shrimp boat that comes in on Fridays and chatted with some people there. I was out hanging posters with traffic info for an upcoming bike race, and didn’t have time to stand in line. A man I only know from the hardware store offered to buy shrimp for me! I went about my round, and got him pastries (as well as the payment, of course) as a thank you. I love living in a small and friendly community!
